Proposal to organize course in CS for non-cs graduates
Purpose and motivation:
- Many PhD students are recruited into the program with a non-cs background
- Non-cs background: Graduate in subject which is not CS/CE/IT or strongly related topic
- A PhD in CS requires some basic core CS competence
Extent:
- 4 hp suggested
Financing:
- Program pays full costs using standard GRU model
Contents:
- Algorithms, data structures, complexity, programming languages, software engineering, parallel and distributed systems? Core material, fast paced, hand-in evaluation.
